I used the Electrolux Floor-Pro to shampoo the rugs. A picture is worth a Thousand words.

How does the Genuine shampoo compare to the Stain-X brand I order from Steel City Vacuum? I've yet to have an issue other than it not foaming up like the Genuine shampoo used to.
I have three of these Electrolux shampooers, all 3 belonged to my (Now Late) Grandmother, though one had been traded off and I Re-Acquired it. (Also ignore the rug it was in my Aunts basement) |

Can the Lux rinse all those shampoo chemicals out, after that rug has been embedded with them? If not, even after vacuuming, the rug is permanently saturated with chemicals I wouldn't want to touch. A proper rinse is likely needed. In my mind, just like with laundry, rinsing after washing is crucial. I'd suggest going over it with an extractor filled with cold water, just to be safe. If you do so, I bet you'll get lots of extra dirty water as well! Happy shampooing!

Actually, if you mix the genuine Turbo Shampoo with water, and allow a drop or two to dry on the counter, it turns into powder. No greasy residue. The Air-Way Signature Series (on "low" speed) will beat the carpet very well and remove every trace of the powder as soon as the rug dries. I love watching the Air-Way's "RugMaster" power nozzle beat the rug after shampooing - the powder jumps six inches up from the carpet as the RugMaster goes over it.

Is that the same as the beam-eureka rug master or is that a different nozzle? Those airway signatures are great machines, I hope to have one some day. Mike |

It makes a low to moderate level of foam and dries into a complete crystal with the dirt imbedded in it. I'll upload pics after my next rug cleaning. |

Mike:
The RugMaster on the Air-Way Signature Series was made for Air-Way by Cen-Tec with a few differences from other nozzles they made. The Red fully tufted brush strips are very unique to that nozzle. Stiffer than the Kenmore brushes, the RugMaster brushes add a beating effect - in addition to the beater bar itself. When an Air-Way Signature Series is run on "Lo" speed, both the vacuum's suction motor AS WELL AS the motor in the RugMaster slows down. Perfect for cleaning area rugs without dragging them, while beating the stuffing out of them to remove the grit. So the Air-Way will Beat...as it sweeps...as it cleans! |

Tom, I'm packing up the Centurion this afternoon. I'll notify you when it ships and I'm not cutting corners on packaging. It'll be double-boxed and bubble-packed very well. Do you prefer USPS, UPS, or FEDEX? |

Question, Is the Turbo Shampoo sold by Electrolux / Aerus? Thanks! Richard. |

Turbo Shampoo is made by Aerus. It's their genuine shampoo andive always had good results from using it. I've attached a picture of the 1 liter and 1 gallon bottles.
