My 1st Tristar Model A101S. I've had the machine for about 4years . It's taken some getting used to but I like it , especially using the 13 ft hose.

Hi there :-) The suction is really good - And I found that that the Electrolux Guardian Platinum Rug Floor tool and Elbow attachment is compatible with the wands, as well as the Guardian Sidekick.

One like this was listed nearby on CL...

but the price was too much for my budget. At one point he seemed to lower his price to $1 (the listings first view), I thought he decided to get rid of it fast.

When I called he said he had only done that to attract buyers to his Ad, that the price was still the original asking price.

I have the MG2 version. But I found the normal Tri-Star bags leak a lot of fine dust into the cloth bag. MicroLined Tri-Star bags have the issue of the lining being torn away from the paper on the side of the bag where the dirt and debris always hit with force. Then, it leaks fine dust too. My only option was to cut a HEPA bag open, and use that to line the cloth bag. That works like a dream, and no fine dust leakage.

I had

my aunts Revelation from the 1950's. It was turquoise with the air driven polisher.
She kept it nice and clean. I gave it to someone who needed a sweeper.

Thanks Tom......

I have been snapping up packages of Cloth Hepa bags at the Goodwills whenever I find them. The last one was one made for a Hoover.

TriStar REALLY needs to update to Filtrete type bags-the newest model can pull dust thru their present single layer paper bags.

Seems like....

I could use Kenmore upright Hepa bags in my Tristar. trim to fit. I pulled almost all my cloth Hepa bags from the tubs to use wherever possible.

Already tried in my Electrolux and Airway.

The Tristar

I prefer the newer Tristars over the new electrolux's.

@Keither
Did U buy the TriStar brand new or pre-owned (2nd-hand)?

Also U can use VAC (Vacuum America Clean) HEPA bags so the TriStar will filter better
