Hello Folks,

Once again a close friend has struck lucky; he has acquired a 541 with the original santeen bag and smooth running motor for £10.00 pounds sterling.....I think I may have to kill him!!!

The bag material is torn where the hooks of the spreader are attached.

Can anybody give advice on repairing this kind of damage as we know how delicate these types of bags are?

Regards, Walter. Shropshire, West Midlands, U.K.

I'd just use a hand sewing needle and thread, but just taking the extra bit of time and care as to not damage the bag even more.
