Well, here goes with my list...
PARTS, ACCESSORIES, ATTACHMENTS, etc. (I don't need any more vacuum cleaners!)
- Hoover Dial-A-Matic Model 1110 bottom plate. (I discovered when I started looking over the one I just got that the bottom plate is missing.) |

I still got like about 150+ vacuums that I would like to get. However, this time I'm just sharing about what I saw recently and what I really want to get.
First one is this Simplicity Symmetry Premium with No Tools onboard. One of the first and rarest symmetry models that were ever made. Love that green color and I like the fact that this does not have a telescoping wand which I'm not a fan of. And last is this Sharp Twin Energy which is just like my blue one but with no electronics on this. This one I didn't really want to get but this one caught my attention because I didn't know Sharp made this model in this particular color and now I wonder if there are anymore Sharps that were also green because I'm still figuring out what Sharp vacuum it was from our old cabin. |

You know what, even though there are a lot of cool vacuum cleaners out there, examples of which I do not own, I have to face reality. I have a very small house with only two carpeted rooms and Persian rugs in a couple of others, yet I own 16 vacuum cleaners. What time does that Vacuholics Anonymous meeting start? I really can't justify acquiring any more machines and ideally, I should get rid of some that I presently have. With that in mind, I have decided that I won't be acquiring any additional machines unless:
1. It's such a stupidly good deal that I just can't force myself to pass it up (like the Electrolux Diamond J I got at Goodwill for $10 last fall) and; 2. I part with at least one machine that I presently own in order to make room for it. Short of that, I'll just have to content myself playing with the toys I already have. What's really scary is that this insanity has really come over me in the past three years. |

1. 1970s Kirby/American Lincoln super sweep. It has white handle.
2. Vacuette, model c, utility vac from Kirby any would suffice. 3. A 508 curdouroy original bag. 4 1970s straight suction royal vacuum. 5. An early era Franz premier 6. 1920s Birtman airway 7. Late 1980s early 90s royal power team with power nozzle that has 12 amps. 8. This one is debatable but a 16 inch sanitaire blue body. I'd put 8.5 amp motor in it. Les |

I can honestly say I want for nothing- vacuum wise anyway. I've either had, or currently have what I need. It's a weird feeling. In fairness, in my vacuum collecting career I've had at least 150 machines. |

The motor bearings shouldn't need replaced. Once you access them if bearing is open spray the ball bearings. I usually use car electronic cleaner. It doesn't ruin anything and it cleans off places I wouldn't want wet.
You then oil and try to spin the bearings. You do it 3 or 4 times bearings will be good as new. I would lastly grease the bearings pack it in so grease stays in bearings. Les |

It's kind of scary looking back at my earlier post in this thread. Nothing has changed except I now have twice as many vacuums as I did then. My vacuholism has been totally out of control the past year or two. I'm at the point now where I've had to put myself under a complete moratorium for any new vacuum purchases. I just can't trust myself anymore. I've done reasonably well the past two or three months, satisfying myself playing with the toys I've got.
