A friend of mine I recently met came across this airway for me. It's a shake out bag. Is the shake out bag original or an aftermarket item?

Shakeout Bag

Hi Kenny, that bag isn't original (That I'm aware of). Air-Way prided themselves on having the first disposable paper bag. 50 years ahead of it's time. 14 layers of cellulose. Nearly HEPA ratings in the 1920s. That machine is not an easy one to find. I can help you find some modern matching bags, as the original are a PITA to find.

Enjoy it,

-Tyler

Tyler, that's what I thought! Thanks! Was their a special grease gun for these? I just put grease in the ports. It means a lot to me because of the person who picked it up for me. Sorry guys, for all the questions. I've never had one of these.

Kenny,
You always take such nice pics of your vacuums. I'm glad you received this from your friend. Looking at this has me hungry for Green Goddess dressing...I hope my local A & P has some in stock! Have a great Friday everybody.

Grease

There are grease ports on the machine. No grease gun, that I know of. Vaseline works great. Tom G. told me that trick. I have used it in all my Air-Way uprights, with much success.

Enjoy your Green Goddess.

Ordinarily I'm a purist and try to steer clear of bojack parts on my machines as much as possible, but the bag on this Air-Way looks AMAZING!

Tyler is correct. Vaseline works perfectly on Air-Way uprights. I learned this from the late Stan Kann.
