Hey Guys!

I need to part with a few particularly this beauty.

Runs perfectly. This machine retailed for $469.00 or more when it was new. It is missing the powered hand tool storage compartment door; however it doesn't affect performance. Features include: cord winder, variable speed control, and all the above-the-floor cleaning attachments which are in good condition. The original wand no longer works but I will include it anyway. It appears to be a sealed unit and is not repairable. I acquired a genuine replacement wand which doesn't have the extra LED light but works as it should. Overall, the machine is really clean and the hose has no kinks. Power nozzle works well and features the electronic dirt-finder LEDs which indicate when the surface is clean.

Asking $80.00 plus shipping. If there is a serious inquiry the price can be negotiable within reason. Please post your interest here and we can arrange contact.

I have that same model. Mine was on clearance at Sears for $95 as it had been returned. It was the TOL Progressive at the time until Panasonic stopped supply Sears vacuums recently.

Mine also had the wand issue, the cable inside broke when I was trying to adjust the telescope part and then the LED lights and Powermate went dead. It was still under warranty so they repaired it. They told me they replaced the wand, The parts list shows the ribbon cable as being available so it may be possible to fix it.

That's exactly what mine did!

Hey Cole!

That's exactly what happened to mine!!! But from the looks of if it it doesn't appear to be easy to get at. I put a few marks into the plastic trying to open things up, and yet I didn't succeed at gaining access.

Looks like poor engineering to me! What year was this model sold? Though the other wand works, it's not telescopic so the height feels weird. Also, had you noticed how crappy the plastic is? It's really cheap cheap! I have no desire to keep the machine and was hoping it tickled someone else's fancy!

Would love to hear more about your thoughts on this machine!

I bought mine in 2012, I think they must have come out in 2010 or 11. There were three, the canisters were the same just features differed. The white was BOL with chrome fixed wand, 6 foot hose, came with paper allergen bag and no dirt sensor or LED lights. Blueberry was MOL and added telescoping wand, HEPA bag and maybe a little longer hose. Red was TOL with LED lights, swivel Powermate with dirt sensor, 9 foot hose and horsehair dusting and floor brushes.

I like the long hose on mine and the LED lights, especially when using the bare floor brush. I really like the Powermate as it has rollers with metal shafts instead of the plastic wheels on each side with plastic bearings that sometimes break. Also like the steerable feature it has. The dirt sensor doesn't seem to be very sensitive, it only changes to red if I vacuum up large debris. They also used this Powermate on an older Intuition model and the Progressive Glide although that had no headlight or dirt sensor.

What I don't like is how heavy these seem compared to the older ones. Also the HEPA filter has no vents in the cover so it can squawk like a bird if it's not put on right. The newer Elite models have vent holes.

The crevice tool has vents in the side which bleed a lot of suction so it is kind of useless. The dusting brush is too big to fit in smaller spaces. I never really used the upholstery tool, it seemed to stick to the furniture because the suction was so strong. I do like how the floor brush tilts and swivels and has felt pads on the bottom. Although like most Kenmore floor brushes it is small.

There is a dusting brush that comes with the new Elite canisters that you can buy for $10 that will fit this. It is shaped like the older dusting brushes and seems to have longer bristles so it would probably make this a better vacuum for dusting. I never got around to getting one.

Overall I think these are fun machines but when I want to really dust and do a thorough cleaning I use one of my older Kenmore canisters. I really haven't used this one in quite awhile.

You are spot-on about this machine! Yes, the dirt sensor is not all that sensitive and I had wondered if it really does work. But your claim is accurate! The machine overall is not so much heavy to me as it is bulky. It's cumbersome to use. I can't seem to get out of it's way when I am using it. I would like a smaller dusting brush-you're right again--it's too freaking big! And the guard thingy that's on it--I don't get it? You can definitively tell it's been cheapened up since the models before it.

Do you happen to have a red Powermate tool door cover for sale? It's the only thing that's missing. And, I would like to find a new wand for it because you do need to have the telescoping feature to use it comfortably.

Unfortunately I don't have any spare parts for them. Your best bet would probably be eBay. Sears Parts Direct probably has these parts, but I imagine would be expensive.
