Is this a real Compact or a vac shop throw together?

I was wondering the same thing when I saw this. I've never seen a Compact power nozzle like this. It looks like someone stuck on the metal decal from a Compact canister.

The design of the power head looks a little like a Filter Queen, especially with that little control knob on the back.

Actually this is a G-E power nozzle used on G-E, Premiere, Royal, Filter Queen, turbotronic, and I'm sure a few others much like Eureka was used on several.
I was wondering if this might have went to the gold Premiere swivel top?

It wouldn't surprise me if Compact dabbled a little before settling on the Eureka. Or maybe at the time they started selling in vac shops in the late 70s maybe they tried to have a different power nozzle for the vac shop models? Either way if this really is Compact I'm sure it was purely experimental. What do you think Mr. Jimmy?

Those were 'replacement' power nozzles available to vac shops in several different colors. The emblem from the Compact was available too. It was just glued onto the top of the head by a vac shop. That nozzle was never available as Original Equipment from Interstate Engineering for the Compact.

Ok, thank you. That's good enough for me.
