I am looking for a few specific DAM's. I am looking for any non-powerdrive and headlighted models like the Cylon yellow 1157 or the orange U5007. I am also looking for the 1136, the U6039, and 1140 as I have always wanted a blue DAM. Let me know if any of you guys have one for sale. I am willing to pay for shipping.

When I was in high school, a friend of mine's mother had a Dial-A-matic. It had a bright blue front panel and the rest of it was off-white or very light gray. There was some sort of floral motif on the front. I never saw it being used, just standing in the closet in their rec room where they kept it.

I found a dial a matic on the side of the road the other day along with other machines. I didn't get any of them. They were in really rough shape and got rained on. Don't know if that is he dial a matic you are looking for. Ignore me in the photo.

It's truly a shame

to see those machines that were designed, built to help us in our homes, etc... ruined like that. Some people don't take care of their stuff. I can assure, at least for that D.A.M, that if it had been serviced, it would still be keeping a home clean today.

Taking care of their vacuums-I remember a customer taking his new Kirby Avalir to the vac shop to have its belt replaced-the machine looked DISGUSTING!!!Dirty, dusty, scratched up---How could they do that to a NEW machine?

DAM 1140

I have a DAM 1140 that I am willing to sell to you. It is in very good condition for the age of the vacuum. There is some minor scuffing across the front but you have to look really hard to see them and there is some on the sides as well. It has had the cord replaced at some point in its life with a white Hoover cord. It was like this when I purchased it a number of yrs ago. The brush strips are red and like new. I will include a set of correct color of attachment with the vacuum too and they are in great shape also. Will include a fresh package of factory Hoover bags and Hoover scent tabs to sweeten the deal. I am not sure what you are thinking as for a price but I have only seen 1 maybe 2 of these on ebay for sale in the last 5 yrs or maybe longer. How does $150.00+ shipping sound?? Hope this finds you well!

Steve

Not mine but

Here's a U6039-030

You can tell the difference between the U6039-030 and the U6039 due to the different plug.

Really?????

MCM!! SUPER RARE!...Give me a F! ¥%/€& break! Its from 1978, after what is considerd  the MCM era. I never want to hear that term again. Between these ebay idiots and stupid hipsters that take the style way out of context, I am just over it!....lol...Ok, rant over..

1978 is certainly not mid-century modern, that's for sure. Just like being in your 60's and 70's is NOT middle aged...lol.

We received an orange and brown non power drive model in our last shipment of used vacuums, I cannot recall the model but would that perhaps be of interest?
