Went to Goodwill today and bought a Packard De Luxe Vacuum when I could have been riding my Harley. It's a rebadged Royal, the model number is 1950, the serial number starts with a 190-#####. The bag is a replacement. It's straight suction, the brush has settings for floating or raised. The knob at the end of the handle is wood very much like the old Eureka vacs.

There is the Clements version of the Packard on EBay. I love the toy wood wheels on that thing. |

Put a shake out bag on the vacuum and polished it. Cleaned the fan and added 3 drops of oil to each bearing.
Here's some new pics including a pic of the serial number plate. I noticed that the Packards made by Clements don't say Packard on the serial plate, it just says Clements. Hopefully I won't see this serial number plate on the front of a t-shirt. |
