This is a 1622 PN with a PN6B hood, the 1622 hood is more rounded and they were prone to cracking. Also, whoever worked on this has the elbow on backwards, the release lever should be on the right and the flat spot in the elbow should be at the bottom. |

I think 'OmniFlow' was just Electrolux's branding for the first few generations of its L-shaped power nozzle to help differentiate them from the previous square nozzles (PN2, PN4, PN4A). It's possible whoever replaced the top cover had that junked PN6 in a scrap pile so it was cheaper to make it into a 'franken-nozzle' than to order the correct part. And if it works, who cares, right?
I doubt the reversed elbow makes a huge difference either, but if it's awkward to use that way or it just bothers you that it's on backward, it's probably pretty easy to take the thing apart and put it back the other way. You'll just need to take a few screws loose on the underside to be able to separate the two halves. Once it's apart, the elbow should just lift out, flip around and drop back in. I don't recall from taking a PN5 apart whether there are any screws holding the elbow in place. |

That model Electrolux power nozzle will lay flat to the floor and not tilt up 3/4 the way under a bed. I keep one just for that purpose as I can only vacuum under my beds in both rooms from one side. The newer ones tilt up 3/4 of the way under the beds due to the elbow design on the newer luxes. After vacuuming under the beds, I revert to the newer power nozzles as they have better edge cleaning.
