I couldn't pass it up on Ebay. I just love these! My grandmother and mother both had one. Enjoy the pics! The lady looks pleased as punch to be using her new Regina!

Very nice!

Please show the rest of the paperwork, I see a Electrikboom ad included with the manual. =) Also, does the box, or any of the paperwork bare a year or date? (I thought I would re word that since we have had a lot of "Dating"jokes, LOL....)

Did the pleased lady user use her Regina to pick up nuts and bolts with the hose as shown in the old TV add?

Congrats on that find! How did I miss that one??!! I'll never forget the day, in 3rd grade 1987, when my best friend (who knew I loved vacuums) told me his mom had just got.... a Housekeeper Plus!!! Let me tell you the first thing I did when I got off the bus that night was ask my mom permission so I could go over to his house! In my mind, the Housekeeper Plus reminded me of a commercial vac with it's 16" brush roll LOL. Soon to find out, though, my friend's mom HATED it with a passion. She was fine with the on-board hose suction and using the tools, but the major problem with the vac was the belt did not stay on the motor shaft no more than one minute of usage. The best the local vac shop could suggest was trying a Hoover Concept One belt, which worked a little better. However, by that time the hatred for that vac was so deep. Ironically, it got returned to K-Mart within a week or so... for... a Hoover Concept One that served the family for years. What great memories and thanks for sharing the find! Man I wish we could still find those classic vacs in those big box stores! Take care!

A few years ago I had two of them and combined parts that weren't broken to make one decent one, and it worked ok for what it was, groomed our thick carpet great, but was super easy to push and did great on flat carpet, so I took it to our church where I was the custodian- it did awesome until I left it over a weekend when there was an event at the church... Went back on Monday and the handle was snapped clean off. Nobody ever admitted to it and I think I threw it away in frustration after that. Don't think I'd want another one but it was fun while it lasted. I've heard they are extremely fragile machines.

Everyone here had these, I always like them for what they were. It's more nostalgic for me and they look cool. I don't care for their cleaning performance all that well but I have probably 15 different Housekeepers in my collection including this model. I'm wanting to say mine is dated 1991 but I want to know what did this plus debut and was this the very first plus model?
