So I have this U4007 with the soft black (160646BZ) brush strips and would prefer something with a more aggressive bristle. Tell me if I have the following table correct. I don't know what the green strips are and I am unsure of the part number for the orange ones. I'm guessing that installing the white strips would probably be fine.
Bill Agitator Brush Nylon (Black) 012998BZ Agitator Brush Reverse Helix (Black) 160646BZ Agitator Brush Reverse Helix (White) 48445001 Agitator Brush Reverse Helix (Orange) 48445001? Agitator Brush Reverse Helix (Green) 48445010 Black = Soft White = Standard Orange = Firm Green = ??? |

The brush colors go as follows
All standard strips but white were available in Helix, and Reverse Helix was all standard strips. I can pull part numbers out of the books tomorrow. Standard: Black-Soft standard length Red-longer, so more aggressive White-stiff standard length Orange-stiff, long Quadraflex: Green-short, soft Orange-long soft I can still order White Reverse Helix and Black Helix strips, but who knows how much longer I will be able to, Hoover has discontinued the Helix...I have a large inventory of that strip. Reverse Helix may be on it's way out too...we will see... Andy |
