-- The twist handle mechanism was rebuilt - these are often broken on this series of vacuums - thus the handle tilt feature works
-- Custom solid billet aluminum bag adapter plate was made to allow a custom gray bag to be fastened to the beautiful vacuum
-- The motor cover design matches the design on the gray bag
-- The custom bag adapter plate was also designed to allow the installation of a flexible Kirby fill tube which uses a Kirby G series twist on bag for dirt capture
-- The bakelite/plastic hood has been buffed giving it a glowing appearance

This is the machine

Built by Birtman electric, that IMHO Hoover copied in the late 50s to get the plug in hose connection, it is VERY similar in the way it plugs in the back, this machine also has a highly engineered belt assembly, the belt is COMPLETELY shielded from the airflow so no dirt gets to it, thus the belt lasts far longer than just about any other machine, also, it has air flo vents in the front of the nozzle so it cant seal to the carpet, something no one else thought of until many years later, a really fine machine, I have one and it is among my favorites,,Another feature, a metal brushroll wth EASILY replaceable brush strips! If anyone wants to see just how forward thinking Sears was, buy this, you wont believe it!
