I was just wondering how many people on here own a Hoover Savvy. I purchased one, and have found it to be a unique vacuum that I really enjoy. If anyone has one, feel free to post pictures. I will post pictures of mine later, as I am out of town and cannot take pictures of mine.

I remember working on hundreds of Savvy's. The circuit boards failed all the time, and the machine's suction path clogged.

There are actually several circuit boards in it, one in the handle.

If you ever take it apart, as an FYI, there is a hidden screw under the Hoover emblem on top nozzle cover.

This looks similar to the twin counter rotating brush Hoover, The name of which escapes me right now.

What are all the circuit boards for ?

I haven't seen one of these, Most people moving here from the USA ( and forget about the higher voltage ) have Hoover wind tunnels which is why I have so many. They seem to have been a popular machine

One time I used my Neighbor's black V2 when it was bought brand new. I thought the performance was alright but I wouldn't say it's better than the regular windtunnels. I actually thought it was a fun vacuum to use, I also liked the sound on it as well. I think they later threw their's out because one of the circuit boards was bad like what dysonman1 had pointed out. You can either use it as a bagged or a bagless setting but I highly recommend using bags instead so you don't have to deal with messy filters.

A few years ago, Hoover put a 'convertible'

label on them, to preserve the 'patent'. There's one at the Historical Center in North Canton.

The only thing I remember about these is that they appeared to have not one, but two brushrolls, or it could have been the V2 not sure

Brushrolls

The Savvy did come with dual brushrolls in the beginning. Mine is an early Savvy bagged and bagless and it does have dual brushes. Is the belt really lifetime on the single roll models? I have heard that they are not.

My neighbor gave me one of these. Ended up tossing it because my parents said I had too many vacuums. LOL

Crazykirbydude,

That sucks about throwing it away. Was it a single brush or dual brush model?

Single brush. I still have the brush motor somewhere. The damned thing didn't work anyway, as it would cut out constantly, and you would have to hit it to make it work.

The Savvy I used to have had a single brush roller; used it in bagged mode only
