I would like to know a little more history about the Centralux models besides the features it has on it. When did these first came out? Where are they made from? And what's the difference between all the models?

I also would like to know when this particular model was made from because it's overall my favorite Centralux model of all time because I really like the decal logos on it.

According to Doug Smith @smithcollection.altervista.org, Easy-Flo Central Vacuum Systems Ltd. of Chilliwack, BC made the Model 1569 for Electrolux. Some other models may also have been made by that company, but I'm not sure since that was the only Electrolux one he posted. Another owner mentioned that his was made in China.

Using evacuumstores.com, eBay, and online customer queries I constructed the chart below.

I'm guessing that each succeeding model was introduced along with the other new cylinders, uprights, commercials, and shampooer-polishers; so that's where I got the years.

1985-86 Model 1561 "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/PN5 almond/griege (Canada only)

1986-87 Model 1569 "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/PN6 sand/jade

1987-88 Model 1580 "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/PN6A stainless steel/black

1988 Model 1584 "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/pn 1684 stainless steel/black

1988-89 Model 1590 "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/pn 1750 hammertone black/black

1989-94 Model 1590A/E117A "Central Vacuum Cleaner" w/pn 1752 hammertone black/black

1995-97 Model E130A "Centra Lux" w/pn N106K hammertone black/black

1997-98 Model E130B "Centra Lux" w/pn N106M (red logo) hammertone black/black

1998-2000 Model E130F "Centra Lux" w/pn N106M (blue logo) hammertone black/black

2000-2004 Model E130G "Centra Lux" w/pn N137B hammertone black/black

2004-2013 Model E130J "Centra Lux" w/pn N137S stainless steel/black

2014- Model E130K "Centra Lux" w/pn N137W or N137X stainless steel/black

There's also the Model E130H "Condo Lux" for smaller dwellings made since 2008.

The model you like would either be the E130J. The E130K has the "sweeping X" crossbar lettering. The orange LUX lettering and Centra script is similar to the Lux Classic and Lux Guardian decals.

E130K:

Corrections

I was mistaken about the model you like. It's actually a E130G. The E130J had a similar decal but with white LUX letters instead of orange.

So, the E130G was manufactured from 2004-09 (the first to have the Aerus logo), and the E130J was manufactured from 2009-13.

Here's a E130J:

Also when did the foam filters first came out at?

Post# 367386 , Reply# 6   2/22/2017 at 21:23 (2,611 days old) by Paul (USA)

One customer posted a query about his/her filter for the model 1561, so they were used in the first one.

In that same forum another person was looking for replacement bags for his/her model 1584; so it may not have had a foam filter like the others.

Hoping that tig21er or someone else in the know can correct, add to, or verify all my information.

I forgot to mention in the other post, when did the mufflers first came out at? I'm talking about the ones where you can put them on top of the motor lid. Also were the accessory kits different with the units as well?
