I found this weird Hoover Conquest online. They're like conjoined twins.

It does appear to be real! (and equally terrifying)

Besides some parts listing and images, it looks like it in this video:

I've seen a few of these in use usually to sweep large areas like banquet rooms or hallways in hotels.

At one of the old VCCC conventions, a club member brought one to the hotel and we used it in the hallways. I don't remember who brought it (this was 15 or more years ago) but it was very cool.

It was the same convention where RJ Vanik had so much trouble with his Vibra Beat stopping during the cleaning competition, clogged with dirt. He beat the thing on the test carpet to get it to work again. What a riot. The old VCCC sure had a lot of fun. I believe Jimmy Martin entered his Hoover 28 with the hole in the bag, filling the convention room with dust. "Self Emptying" he said. Good times.

As Walter Matthau might have said to George Burns--

--in the Sunshine Boys---It was not 15 years,it was MORE!It was not a Hoover 28 but a Hoover 25.And that bag,it was the original. And it was not found on the way but at the vac store near the Hoover factory. The one in the old house with the huge furnace that looked like an octopus with the pipes. And who could forget the stories of the Rainbow dealer and his secretary.
"and that theater WAS the Belasco!"

That Rainbow dealer met up with his former secretary for lunch one day. Reggie recorded it on his phone. He reminded her of some of the things she did. She reminded him of some of the more colorful things she did that he had forgotten (for a reason). I felt sorry for the floor, the Corvette repair place 'out back', and the handles of those poor upright vacuum cleaners. Not to mention the disgruntled customer and her repair ticket.
