After I recently sold and fixed a few vacuum cleaners for money I had the greatest idea. Start a vacuum shop out of my garage. I figured I can get cheap vacuums, Fix them up and resell them. I would be making money and giving vacuums to good homes.

P.S. If you would like to donate some unwanted vacuums, contact me at adin.raiche@gmail.com

A good source of free vacs might be to cruise dumpsters at large apartment complexes nearby, especially near the end of the month when people are moving out.

TV shop

I used to hit the two tv repair shops by my house and get all the rejects customers didn't want to repair. I could actually get most of them going and the worst ones sold for 50 bucks each. My parents and later my garage and even a rented storage room was full for a while. The ones I couldn't fix provided parts for the next inline. The really nice ones I got 150 for and did tube, hybrid, and solid state sets and still have a few beltron picture tube restorers and boxes of vacuum tubes back to the twenties.
If you do it right you should at least make good toy money and might be able to make a minor living if you get serious about it.
Used TV's died about the time lcd flat screens and HD took over but it was fun and made me OK money for a long time.

You need to create your own marketing ploy of some kind. But if you start small and let the business grow as a glorified hobby, it might turn into something more. Depends on the size of your town and how many people you can talk into vintage vacs.....you should also fix the plastics fantastic whether you want to or not....just for the income and reputation potential. You've got 'kid factor' going for you....lots of people will be more patient with you than they would with adults.
