besides the Constellation and the Celebrity, what other Hoover models shared similar floor cleaning accessories(unpowered)? Somebody told me the Sprint, but I'm not seeing anything that looks familiar.

connie, slimline (some models), portable, pixie, handivac, lark, all had the same combo bare floor/carpet tools. crevice tool, duster brush, upholstery brush and smaller floor brush were all shared by these models. also the dial a matic and convertible attahcment sets (sans large combo floor tool) some machines didnt have some attachments , but the all shared the same family of attachments. hoover didnt really change thier attachments until late in the slimline/portable production that started to overlap with the celebrity . the bare floor tools werent as good in the late 70's imho.

kevin in my experience, ebay is awful for acquiring vintage hoover attachments. (the only brand where ebay seems to be great for vintage attachments is kirby) ive found vacuum shops, estate sales and thrift stores the best places to find machines complete with attachments, or loose attachments by themselves for very cheap prices or even free. other generous collectors who aquire spare parts usually will be willing to part with a set for a reasonable price. the only thing i use ebay for anymore is belts, bags and nos parts if they are cheap.

The extension wands did change, however. The ends had a metal clip, later changing to plastic with a hole to snap over the pin on the tool. But, the majority of the attachments remained the same for a very long time, changing only, in color. There was seal greige light, medium, dark, taupe, and, later, white.
