My first very old vacuum that came out of my mother in laws attic.
I'm a very new collector and initially went by the bag to assume it was an old Royal. Now, after some research on Vacuumland, I see that it may not be.
The tags show no manufacturer but I'm assuming it was the Geier Co.
The bag may have been replaced with a model 215 Royal bag ??
Anyway, the tag states "Manufactured exclusively for the Sterling & Welsh Co."
I know we had a "Sterling Linder" department store back in the day.....
possible manufactured for them ??

Any input would be appreciated.
Dave

Follow up

I just found that the "Sterling - Welch" Co. was a part of the "Sterling Linder"
Corporation and was located downtown Cleveland. I remember going there as a child
and seeing the largest Christmas Tree in doors.
The vacuum obviously was made for them. Not sure if that bag was original.

That's a Royal Super. The Royal Standard looked like it, but was older and the bag was on the opposite side. The original bag would have been black. That machine was from the late 1920's. There would have been a brush that slid onto the nozzle for cleaning bare floors, etc.

Royal Standard

Thank you for the info.
I must have the standard model also....see pics.
Would the bag on the Super look like the black standard bag ?
