It's made by Panasonic, Panasonic made 3 of these models for Sears with a few differences. There's a white, blue, and green version. The white and green version are both bagless and the blue version is bagged. The white and blue version uses a cord rewind but the green version doesn't have one, they were sold in the mid 2000's until the quick clean models were then replaced by a different manufacturer that wasn't as good as the Panasonic quick clean versions. Since then, Panasonic made themselves a red MC-UG471 that they sold for almost 10 years now.

My mom had that one, she got it in 2005. It was still working when she got rid of it but the plastic was cracking apart. It was a good vacuum, if you kept the pleated filter clean. The only thing I didn't like was the hose, because like a lot of Panasonic made machines it would topple the whole vacuum on you if you stretched it too far.

The overall design is pretty similar to the current red pepper Kenmore Progressive bagged upright.
