It just dawned on me last night that I don't think I've ever seen a foreign made vacuum for sale or even pictured ??
I collect other things such as old typewriters, calculating machines, etc. and have a number of German made devices. I would think that the Germans (and others) would have made vacuums.
Any input ?

My collection is mostly 1875 - 1930...
wondering if any foreign sweepers/vacuums are out there

Hey Dave - The Electrolux model 11 (see Electrolux Europe page) was made in Sweden in 1926 and the Goblin model 40 (Goblin page) was made in England in the late 20s.

Yes,

Sebo's are sold here in vacuum specialty stores, not dept. stores, as are Miele's.
There have been both shown in the later contemporary threads and for sale.
Vorwerk's have also been featured here, but never sold new in the USA.
