The first two measurements were easy to get, the last one (CFM at the nozzle) required me to build an airflow box. I think this pic should easily illustrate where and by how much CFM is lost in this machine. I think this is typical performance from a cyclonic bag less cleaner.

From the base of the machine through the cyclones, there is a loss of 117-74 = 43 CFM. From the cyclones to the nozzle, there is a loss of 74-59 = 15 CFM.

Total airflow losses from the canister base to the power nozzle (held at a 45 degree angle to the floor) is 117-59 = 58 CFM or about 50% of the original airflow.

Last note: the rug plate opening is fairly typical (about 28 square inches), but CFM density is well below average, about 2.1 CFM/Sq. In. If you ever wondered if this expensive 12 Amp beast was capable of deep cleaning, I would argue it probably wouldn't be, even with stiff bristles on the brush roll.

So no comments on a previously popular cleaner?

I know that DC14's as "seconds" are still popular in the UK although I'm sure that DC14's here in the US have been long superseded by newer models. Did anyone here ever own one? I thought it did just an OK job, nothing to write home about though...

It doesnt surprise me to be honest. I have suction loss with my Dyson DC24 and the V6 Absolute shroud causes a huge loss of suction.

I have never owned the DC07 but used one a few times.
