I picked up a Riccar and from the first look over, I see that the hood is worn. Most inportantly, the "Riccar" logo is 2/3 worn off.

I may be able to match the hood color, but will be stuck without the Logo and other lettering. I wounder if I can get a sticker/decal to replace the worn logo and more.

So it is for a RLS4 in Navy metallic blue.

Does anyone have an idea how to restore the logo or have a better shape hood they would part with? Color does not matter, condition does.

It might be better to find another nozzle with a better decal logo on it, there's no way to revive the logo if it's already scratched off. A new nozzle would cost around $65 no matter which color. Tacony assembles logos out of stickers but they require being lined up correctly and pressed down on a machine to make it look perfect, and dried off with like an air compressor. Other than that, I don't think Tacony would sell you one.

Thanks Alex...

I kinda thought that would be the case. I think I will do the best with this one and/or see if a local shop has a donor Supralite.

I have an rough Simplicity Freedom hood in green in my parts somewhere. I wonder if they are interchangeable.

Anyone else have a donor hood they would like to part with?

Do you have a picture of the sticker? It needs to be super clear and detailed in order for me to maybe be able to help you.

The logos are heat stamped onto the hot plastic just out of injection molding.

Riccar Logo label...

I decided not to worry about the logo. Though, one could easily download a logo and print it onto clear label/decal stock and use that. But I will not.

I ended up painting it a good automotive blue very close to it's original color. I have a friend who has been wanting one of these for a while ever since she got a Simplicity freedom for me.

Funny, but she claims the Freedom is self-propelled and loves it. I told her they are not designed to be self-propelled. Who knows what is going on with hers.

Thanks for the info.!
