I'll recheck everything again..........I already checked everything but I have not checked if the belt is the correct one. | ||

Check all those things Make sure you are using the belts with the textured side so that it grips the shaft and belt. I agree that you may have installed the brush set in the used position that the bristles are digging to deep into your carpet. also make sure the belt is installed in the right direction. | ||

On Royal metal uprights-they are "self indicating" if you have the belt on wrong-it flips off the motor shaft.Right-stays on the motor shaft and spins the brushroll. | ||
