I picked this beauty up on Ebay this week for a whopping $61!!!!!
I've always said the holidays are the worst time to sell on Ebay but the best time to buy hehehe. Excuse the messy background. Still under construction around here.

Very nice machine. Did you get any attachments with it? I have the "updated" Sentria I...I believe it is mechanically almost the same to the II except for the colors. I really like mine it is a fine machine.

I have a SentriaII as well, and it is truly a very nice color combination. Reminds me of colors in the 60's. I actually prefer it to the 100th Anniversary Kirby I have. I wonder what the next Kirby will look like? another color change or a brand new model?

Let's hope for a total model change this time.......

Very nice, indeed--both in appearance and cost.

Looking ahead for Kirby, I think it's time for it to replace its logo wordmark. I'd like to see the Jim Kirby signature logo brought back to add a classic touch. The sans serif caps logo wordmark has been in place for 16 years and counting. Its predecessor, in wide cursive style, was used for 19 years and the narrow cursive style was in place for 16 (with both the circle and oval borders)--so the timing would be commensurate with the Kirby custom.

I always wondered why Kirby got rid of the signature logo. It may have become about as popular the Hoover's Dreyfuss design from 1950-present. The only change of which I'm aware is that the R's leg got tweaked from straight to curved. Even the 55 degree angle of the H's crossbar has remained the same.
