This is very hard question.
In my case it might (just) be Lux Royal D790 with Wessel Werk ph.
Interesting question.

I don't know Mark

I guess if I had to choose, I would probably have one of those machines that would do "everything", you know like one that could be an upright, or a canister, maybe shampoo the carpet.  You know one of those type.

This is a really tough question to answer. I guess if I only could keep one, I would keep my Rainbow Vacuum. It can do everything, including mopping, wet spills, shampooing, and of course vacuuming above floors, carpets, wood, tile, and it also has a low profile to get under beds etc.

Harley, you are so predictable! :-) And we all know what your answer is without you actually naming it, LOL.

For me? My Electrolux Grand Marquise. It can do just about everything, & better for my situation since it's a canister & get under everything & is more versatile. Plus with the Perfect C101 being made, parts will be available for a long time & it will last forever.

my Hoover 150 cleaning ensemble, (tools and hose), and my Air-Way twin motor Chief. Both are old but still operate perfectly and will out clean many of todays modern vacuums. The Air-Way Chief even has a wood pulp cellulose disposable bag with filtration that is very respectable for 1936!

I'm thinking my Electrolux Diamond Jubilee but I'd pair it up with my PN2 instead of the PN5 that came with it. It would be hard giving up my Kirbys, though.

Tough choice. The do-everything vacuums tend to be a compromise. For ease of use and excellent cleaning ability, I'd choose my Riccar Supralight. But for do-everything, it would be Rainbow. The Riccar can easily be used everyday. Rainbow? Not so much.

That said, since I have plenty of time today, I think I'll get out the Rainbow 😊

Aerus Lux Legacy. It cleans carpeting fairly well, it cleans hard floors fairly well, and it has a good set of attachments (including the sidekick) for doing all of the above floor cleaning.

I guess the BIG question is, will the vacuum be for "daily driver" status, or will you also be displaying it is a collector's item? I'm torn between these two options....if I'm going typical "daily driver" route, it will definitely be my new Rainbow e-series, but if I'm leaning more toward a collectible item, it would keep my Electrolux Ultralux CE.

Hoover Celebrity w/ Electronic Powerhead

I bought this vacuum for my Mother when she had new carpet put in the house. She used it for a while but then thought it was too heavy so I took it. It has been the best of any of the Hoovers I have ever had and have. I love the fact that you can adjust the speed on the powerhead and on the main body also and with the suction control on the wands you can even vacuuum throw rugs with out the being sucked into the powerhead. I love that control of the vacuum. Have not found that on any other vacuum. It has powerful suction for great deep down cleaning for what ever your task is. LOVE IT!

I was gonna say the same thing...we need to qualify the question further...lol.

For DD use, one of the Diamond J's I have, hands down!

For looks, probably one of the G's I have or the one 1205 left.....both of those vacuum models 'get me'...but are very different from each other.

Lindhaus Healthcare Pro Ecoforce.

They're fantastic vacuums (in my opinion), with plenty of versatility and can be used as a dry carpet cleaning system. Plus, I just love anything that's an electric broom style.

Aerus/Electrolux

I thought I posted about this but maybe it didn’t go through.

Have had Electrolux since I was first introduced to a vacuum as a toddler as it’s what my Mom and both Grandmotherks had...been hard pressed to find anything I like any better...nothing seems to ever surpass it for me, but a few have come close.

If for regular use would have to be my Aerus Lux Legacy I recently acquired, a very light blue with medium blue trim...the 2003-2008 series. It’s the newest and least used and best condition of all of my vacuums and hasn’t been rebuilt or anything. It’s complete with everything that came with it and also has the flip over rug and floor tool in addition which was not standard. It was lightly used mostly with the single sided floor tool as that shows the most use. It appears it may have even been serviced by Aerus for checkups, came with 47 genuine bags and appears previous owner only used genuine bags in it...bag compartment is spotless inside on the day I got it and the outside was in excellent condition as well, most everything else is virtually unused including the power nozzle and sidekick.

Very versatile and easy to use for any and all cleaning needs and easy to push, self adjusting height, goes under furniture, cleans the car, doesn’t eat belts, converts to attachments in seconds.

Though I do love the more traditional Aerus Electrolux hose and wand system so I might have to add to it with a Lux Classic hose and set of metal wands and attachments too to make it universal to satisfy my love for my traditional Electrolux handle/wand style over the plastic wand system. Would this be considered cheating though? I’d still only have the one main canister unit...Just two hoses and sets of attachments.

For collecting...my Electrolux XXX which my Grandmother bought new when my Father was a kid. I’m the third generation to have it as it got passed on to my Father’s sister but I asked for it when she passed away.
