I've been in a Filter Queen kick lately and I want to know about the differences between the late 60s light tan/salmon colored 31 and 33.

Also In the 70s which of these first had power nozzle options? And when did they go to dark brown color?

Last question, what's the difference between 31 and 33 aND the D31 and D33 or are they all started with D?

Well

The 31 is one speed no cord winder, the 33 has 2 speeds and a cord winder...that they bought from General Electric. The first 33 models were all salmon colored, the 31s were 2 tone.

There may have been more than one version of the 31. I have a 31 with two speeds.

That has a history. Filter Queen is my favorite canister and I got lucky the week of Christmas and found a like new Majestic Triple Crown. Here in CA, Filter Queens are pretty rare. When I checked their website for a local distributor, I was told to call the main office in Cleveland. Here is a picture of my new to me Queen. Only thing missing was the brush for the upholstery nozzle and the crevice tool. Luckily, I had them from another model. The second link goes to a thread on automatic washer site that pictures both.

I also have a Princess II I bought on eBay. I think the Princess is a cheaper version of the model 31 and 33 that was made to be sold in vacuum stores much like Compact did with its Revelation models.
