On October 8th I got this Electrolux Golden Jubilee for $10 at habitat for humanity. I haven't tested it yet because it needs Bags. I am getting Bags soon from Vacuumlad.

I would like to know
I am looking for a power nozzle to use with it and I found a nice one on eBay.
The question is, Will it work on this unit?

Here's the link to the power nozzle 222250021271

Here are some pictures of my new Electrolux

You do know that your Golden J takes the standard Electrolux C bag. You can get generic Arm & Hammer bags at Walmart for a couple of bucks.

Generic "Multi-Filter" bags work great and can be found on eBay for less than a dollar a bag when purchased in bulk. I think I read on here that they're made by the same company that makes them for Electrolux.

Got a question

Are Aerus vacuums still made in the US?

Vacuumlad, I mistakenly posted this reply on another thread, so I've copied it here for your future reference. Paul

10 bucks--nice going! The 1205 "Jubilee" is a classic and was sold by "friendly Electrolux men" from 1974-75. Its honey-gold color denoted Electrolux USA's 50th Jubilee year (it began in 1924 as a subsidiary of AB Electrolux of Sweden).

In case you're interested in making a complete set, here's a list of the original tools and optional accessories:

1) combo rug/floor tool (ivory holder with honey-gold brush plate; metal swivel connector)
2) combo dusting brush/upholstery tool (ivory holder & "sides")
3) crevice tool (ivory, smooth texture)
4) white hose with teal/gold/teal tracers (the one you have color matches the Model 1401-B "Olympia One")
5) Model PN-2 Rug Saver Power Nozzle with 50th Jubilee decal (ivory cord and wand sheath)
6) Shag Tool
7) White-bristled wall brush
8) White-bristled dusting brush
9) sprayer
10) vaporizer
11) Rug Washer (harvest gold top and base; ivory tank)

The Style C bags were the same for many of the tank cleaners from 1952-present, so they're readily available. Genuine are the best way to go, but some have said that the less-costly DVC brand is just as effective.

I wanted to mention, too, that the Model 1401 "Super J", which was made from 1975-79, looks very similar to yours, but has a larger motor and therefore a bit longer body to accommodate it, along with a "Super J" decal. Its tools and accessories were the same as those for the 1205 "Jubilee" except for its gold-colored hose and Model PN-4 Rug Saver Power Nozzle.

Lastly, you can obtain a free copy of the owner's manual by contacting Aerus at aerusvacuums.com.

Happy E'luxing!

I exchanged him...$8 and I shipped him 8 DVC branded C bags. Those bags are better than any on the market today...except the Perfect bags. I have an abundance of Electrolx bags so why let them go to waste?

Kirby collector...enjoy your Lux!!
