I found this on ebay for $50.

It's just like the one I grew up with, only ours had the vinyl armored bag with the logo on the front. So I'm looking for one of those, if anybody sees one. ;)

Anyway, same old story- old couple dies, their family gets rid of their old "junk" vacuum.

They must have been pretty comfortable, as this was their THIRD Kirby! They only used this one up until they finally decided to just hire maids.

The truly odd part is, aside from the crevice device and the straight wand, no other attachments have been used. Not a hair or a scratch to be found on any of it.

I honestly doubt any of it has ever been out of the boxes in what,...41 years!

They didn't even know the original manual was under the the rug renovator. It too looks completely untouched.

The vacuum clearly has some miles on it. It was even rebuilt in 1988.

I have to assume they just left it all in the box and continued using the attachments from their previous models.

Sadly, somebody threw the hose away, so I'll have to find one of those too.

Incidentally, it came with an extra grey wand (It photographs a bit green, but it is slate grey.), a beige spray bottle from perhaps a Sanitronic 50, and a 511 manual.

I'm giving those away to anybody who needs them, just pay for shipping.

Emphasis on need, please.

If you already have 3 on a shelf in your basement, let's see if anyone actually needs one first, hmmm? ;)

Thanks

Another Freebie...

I just realized the round grey part in picture #5 is one of those snorkulator caps that goes on the fumigator.

It obviously went with whichever model had this grey wand.

Don't need it.

and now the Sanitronic sprayer got sucked up.

All that's left is the grey wands and matching snorkulator cap.

Which model has grey attachments anyway?

Anyone? Anyone.?
