I might just buy this for the tagline.

On dirtdevil.com they are selling the dynamite refurbished again, and the tagline is better than ever. "Big things come in small packages." Hilarious! Anyway, whenever I see this I'm always temped to buy it because it's only $30.00, and I've had this cleaner before and I would say it would be well worth it. Plus it's the original 2005 model.

I picked up an orange one off the curb in great shape just needed a filter and belt. My Mom came by for a visit and said hey i'll buy that. I said why, you hate uprights. Shes like well im getting older now and it's a pain to drag out the canister everyday just to do light cleaning in the kitchen (carpeted) after the dogs have breakfast. I understand that and I sent it home with her telling her I will Never sell my Mother a vacuum and than she can "have" anything she wants. We argued but I took no money lol. She called me later that day and said wow I'm pleasantly surprised by this little thing. It actually does a decent job if you keep the filter clean. She finds herself using in all rooms from time to time.

Totally off subject but talking about my Mom buying a vacuum reminded me of a story when I had my big vacuum store back in 05. I had an older more well to do lady come in wanting a new Kirby because she had had a demo but didn't want to pay a total of $2,000 for one. Well I just happened to have a brand new Diamond Edition (then still currant model) that I had bought from a fairly local Kirby dealer who was having a slow weekend and came in to sell me 2 new Diamonds. I bought them with all the tools for $450 each. He said that was his cost. The whole thing seemed off but I knew him and knew he had worked for Kirby nearly 30 years and thought well I don't think they were stolen. Anyhow one went to my house and one went on my show room. He wanted to give me the demo even though I told him it wasn't needed. When he opened the boxes they still had a tape like seal over them indicating they hadn't even been demoed yet. Anyhow I put a price of $600 on it because I didn't want it to sit around forever. She argued with me and absolutely didn't want to pay that much bla bla bla. I wouldn't budge. She bought it and then this woman (in her 70s) turned around and said to me, well I guess I will take my old Kirby Heritage and sell it to my mother for $100 and recoup some of my money.
Wow what a bitch. Her mother had to have been 90. I would never treat my parents that way. lol
