I just ordered a Classic III that has been in storage for untold years, and looks it.
It doesn't appear terribly worn in the photos, but the oxidation looks like I'm in for a challenge. Are there any precautionary details I should address before running it, such as oiling any particular parts or bearings, or anything like that? I ask because I collect old sewing machines and I know you're supposed to add fresh machine oil to several particular spots before running any machine that has sat unused for 6 months or more. |
