The video does not pick up a faint "bell" sound that is repetitive. Brush is not striking anything. What would you check second?

Matt,

Maybe check the belt for wear. If so, order part no. 1044260001.

Or else, check if the brush roll is properly mounted. It can only be installed one way. If brush bristles are worn on position 1, there are two other positions to try: 2 and 3.

If the problem isn't the belt or brush roll, maybe your fan is going out of bounds. Order part no. 1608004000, though it will have nine blades rather than six.

Roller set to 1 looks fine. Changed the belt out the original could be put on by hand because it was stretched 20+ years the new one required the lifter.

A new fan appears to be $50+ so I will keep investigating other things first

The new belt really improved the roller bar performance. I will order a new belt as the one I just installed has some age on it and may well be on borrowed time.

Can the oil bushing on the end of the shaft be replaced with a purchased part?

Matt

Matt,

I think so, if you are talking about the tolerance ring (1880046000).
