My ultimate G diamond edition safety switches have broken off meaning my Diamond edition will not turn on and the mini emtor keeps sliding off. Should I get it factory rebuilt for 225$ or should I buy this 20$ 560 off of eBay. Help would be appreciated thanks.

Your factory rebuild will come back like brand new. I also had a Kirby G5 rebuilt and it came back like brand new as well. The older cleaners were good cleaners, but I have a 505 Kirby rebuilt and it does not clean near as well as the G5. Also your carpet will have an effect on how well your cleaner does. I find my 505 to not groom as well as the Kirby G5 and much harder to push through dense carpet.

Well I would say do both

But if I had to chose, do the factory rebuild.

A lot of it would depend on the condition of the 506 but it's cheap enough where you could afford to do some work on it without going too deep into the hole. But then again, $225 for a factory rebuild on the Ultimate G is a pretty good price to get it back into essentially factory fresh condition. Like a couple of other folks who have already responded, I'd have to really fight the temptation to do both.
