The guy who single-handedly (albeit inadvertently) shut down LAX last night lives somewhere in our neighborhood. I've seen him a few times walking westbound on Washington Blvd.

The first time I saw him, I was so astonished that I stopped to get a better look at him. I mean, how often do you see Zorro walking down the street? Even in L.A.?!

He told me he catches the northbound bus on LaBrea Ave. to Hollywood Blvd. where he entertains tourists at the Chinese Theater. (You'd have to see that place to believe it -- it's practically an open-air insane asylum.)

I asked him if I could take his photo. "For a donation," he said. So I gave him five bucks. What the heck. At least he's making an honest living. Even if he =is= so clueless as to go to LAX in full costume including a (plastic) sword....... All together now: *DUHHH!!!*

Yep,

I saw it on the early morning news Monday. They didn't show his face, only heard his voice. Do you know him? Is this the same guy?

Actually, he looks good in that outfit. But, bad judgment to wear it to the airport (with the accompanying sword). Not in this day and age. I guess he'll have to find a new career. Or, stay away from public places that have guards.

Well maybe not now

that they know him, but will have to worry about copy cat's who may have a negative agenda. So yeah, airports may be off limits, or he'll be questioned and checked at every one.
