Had something unexpected happen yesterday. Roughly a year ago I contacted Mary Strauss about locating one of Stan Kann's vacuums from his collection, the Hoover 825. I was lucky enough to have met Stan several times and see his collection in his home here in St. Louis. Of the old vacuums, the Hoover 825 (vintage 1934-1935) was always the model that stood out to me with the light up Hoover logo and uniquely designed bag. Two days ago I received a call from Mary's assistant, and long story short, I went to Mary's beautiful home in the CWE yesterday and found the Hoover 825! It's in amazing, all original condition, and the motor still purrs like a kitten. I did a bit of cleaning on it today as its been in a basement for several years, but it looks great! How very awesome to have one of the great Stan Kann's vacuums in my collection!

What an honor to have an amazing example from our great friend Stan. A piece from that collection is something to be very proud of and cherished forever.

Congratulations!

Congrats!

Beautiful 825 and meaningful knowing it belonged to Stan. You've given me incentive to get the Mother's out and shine mine up! I have a model 61 from Stan that was a duplicate..definitely makes it special!

It's beautiful, and one of my favorite "coffee can" Hoovers as well. I have one too, all original except the bag.
