I saw it on ebay for a grand sum of £15 for local collection, they advertised it as spares or repair as the "main hoover worked but the back pipe doesn't", well I thought at least the motor worked so I took the plunge and pressed buy it now, when I got it home I noticed an obvious reason why the hose had no suction, it didn't have the clear U bend piece, luckily the hose is intact and I cant seem to see any tears in it, anyway enough of me rambling here it is, as I type this its currently drying out after a bath and rinse.

I absolutely hate these clear cleaner heads, they are going to be a real nightmare for collectors in the future.

I have no idea how on earth such a large ball of hair got there, I can only presume that the old owner filled it way past the max line on more then one occasion.

As you can see there is no U bend luckily they are very cheap to buy so one has been ordered.

This really puzzled me at first after about half an hour and every obscenity under the sun I had got it off.

After washing all the parts in the bath I set to work on the filters, unfortunately I only got a picture of the pre motor filter but by god it was absolutely disgusting.

I bought a red model refurbished (almost new) years ago and I was overall disappointed with it. It wasn't really a bad machine but the main reason I returned it was because it was destroying our carpets.

Are you sure your not on about the American DC28 Airmuscle I have one of those imported and absolutely love it, Im not to sure the dc27 was sold in America (there is of course a possibility), anyway after a lot of stress its finally back together.

Love the unusual bronze metallic color used, this is quite unusual for dyson as all their Animal machines are usually purple, maybe they were going for a higher end look.

Not the DC28

They DID had a DC27 in the U.S. I think it was only sold in 2 different colors but they are not common here as far as I'm aware of.
