Those were awesome machines. Like all Electrolux vacuums, they took a beating and kept on cleaning.
They were the best vacuum for churches, banks and other places that had small spaces such as church pews and bank teller stations to clean. Wondering if you can still get the paper filter liners for the machines. I actually liked the newer plastic tank version as well. Add a PN-4 power nozzle and life is good. A local church got rid of their CB Lux and replaced it with some Hoover Conquest. The bank I worked for purchased the CB and after about 10 years of use we replaced the power nozzle, hose and had the motor serviced. To my knowledge the machine is still in use today. The ladies at the church wanted the CB Lux back in the worst way. They had replaced the Hoovers several times, they had to buy a separate vacuum to clean in and around the pews. Needless to say they eventually went back to a new CB Lux that is also still used today. Enjoy the vacuum! |
