Guess who's got a damn earworm now ... This guy sat out there for a good 15 minutes with that stoopid song playing over and over and over and over and over... at 9:30 at night.

I have an uncle who used to drive an ice cream truck when I was a little boy. He had a small brass ship's bell hanging by the driver's window that he'd reach out and ring with a merry Klang-Klang-Klang. Now all the trucks have this awful, blaring, tinny, distorted racket that drives me nuts.

That is bad-noise pollution at its worst.Haven't seen or heard-an ice cream wagon since I was a kid.Remember the bells the driver would ring-or the truck had a bell music box that played a tune like the one shown but with REAL bells and not electronic ones.

Some lady drives an ice cream truck through our neighborhood, one song she plays is The Lambada.

Ice cream music is just tacky. (my opinion)

I know they're not gonna play Chopin, but.................
WE used to hear them all the time in our neighborhood. We'd also hear coal being delivered...it was an odd, comforting sound, hearing that coal slide down those chutes at various houses on my street. A bygone thing now.

The nice thing about our farm's being "way out past the sticks" is there are only three sounds, the smooth rumble of a tractor's engine, the soft sound of the older guy's shooting the breeze across the street from one another, and the sound of the wind rustling the corn plant's leaves. I fell in love with those sounds years ago...

It seems that I hear this tune delivered at least nine times out of ten buy the dread local Good Humor Man. Please, don't blame me but it is most apparently this little thing called history...And they really do play it all the do long day.
