Car boot sales...
...must be somewhat peculiar to the UK. I'd never heard of them before finding Vacuumland. My impression is they are likely smaller than a flea market or swap meet but larger than a yard/garage sale. I visualize several people gathering in a parking lot and selling stuff out of the backs of their vehicles.
