We all had an awesome time at the vacuum convention. Had a fabulous time at Tom and Donnie's wedding reception. One last dinner together before we all say goodbye.

Donnie and I celebrated our wedding, with a reception at our home on Saturday. So glad my friends in the vacuum club were able to attend our Hawaiian luau. I have never seen Owen Perkins eat, so I was very happy seeing him devour seven pulled pork Sliders. I very much enjoyed cooking for my friends, and everyone had a few glasses of "hippie juice". Thank you to all the collectors for coming, it's always sad when it has to end.

convention

It was awesome for sure, there's more info in the thread that Tom started about the convention along with lots of pictures. I wish it could have gone on longer, or maybe be done twice a year instead of once, it was so much fun. Vacuums running all over the place, between everyone running all the vacuums, that museum floor should be spotless. Tom, did you end up selling most of the 400 vacuums you wanted to sell? I know I bought the electrolux vacuums, if we had more time, I would have loved to have seen if you had any extra Kenmore canisters in that store room, perhaps next year, and I also love the Perfect canister I got from you, that thing has about as much power as a central vacuum. I know all good things have to come to an end, but this ended too fast. It was my first convention but definitely will not be my last.

Best regards

to the newlyweds, even though they may have been together for years!

Thanks for the kind words. Donnie and I got married exactly 2 1/2 years after we met. We wanted to wait for the reception until all our vacuum friends could be here as well. The entire convention was awesome, and no one felt excluded as sometimes happens when other clubs have cliques. Thank you to everyone who came for making it a wonderful time and a cherished memory.

Remember, this happens every year. Second weekend in June at the Vacuum Museum in St. James Missouri. Plan your trip next year, right now.

Huge thank you to Owen Perkins for an awesome wedding gift. A 1950 Hobart commercial mixer. Trust me, I will put it to very good use.
