Since moving into a 1 bedroom apt i have pretty limited storage space and it was only a matter of time before my collection started growing again. By now the closets have basically been overtaken by vacuums. I feel I should part with a few machines in order to free up some space but I’m not completely sure what i should let go of.

So this is what I have. if you had these machines what ones would you keep, and which ones would you part with?

Dyson DC-26
Dyson DC-59
Dyson DC-65
Electrolux Silverado
Electrolux Marquis
Filter Magic
Filter Queen 75th anniversary < needs parts
Eureka 2058b
Kirby Dual 80 < Metal fan and 4 row brushroll
Kirby Legend II < Belonged to my parents
Miele S7 Freshair
Miele S7 Silver Moon
Oreck XL-21
Rainbow E2 black
Riccar Radiance
Royal Prince
Sebo Felix
Silver King Blue Max Air 2000
Simplicity Freedom S10S < It has a S10D hood but it's an S10S
Tristar CXL

I've also got a Kenmore Magicord but that was never intended to stay with me, i just need to find a suitable shipping box before it's listed.

Me personally, I would keep the dyson canister vac, as the canisters are the only good dyson in my opinion . I would also DEFINITELY keep the Legend II. The legend II is a vac I want and it makes it so much more special that you mom and dad gave it to you.

what to keep

I would hang on to the electrolux, Miele, and Sebo models for sure. I would get rid of the Dysons, but admitedly, I'm a bit biased, I don't like bagless vacuums. Does your apartment provide any kind of storage unit? Mine does and I actually put my wet dry vacs in there, since those are not vacuums I would use for regular cleaning. Actually the floor was quite dirty in there, I used my Lindhaus hf6 to clean it.

Ditch the Dysons and the Filter Queen that needs parts. Keep the Kirbys, Rainbow, Oreck, and the Eureka for sure

Storage

We can get garages but due to the humidity in the warmer months i'd hate to store any vacs out there.

Here's what my closets are like you can't see the filter queen sitting next to the tristar but it's there.

I just did some re-arranging of it last week and....yeah that didn't help. I've also tried putting the other 1/2 of that metal rack in the other closet but it consumes over 1/2 the floor space

Dont get rid of the Felix - the beauty is it can all be unlocked and stored away including the PN. Without the PN, the Felix can be hung up behind a door or on a wall.

I just LOVE your enthusiasm. The glass IS always half-full,  isn't it?

We'll have a great time in Chicago.
