There were tons of Convertibles!! While I think I recognize the model number, it may be easier for many of us to identify with a photo!! We love photos on this site!!!!
Early Convertibles has the model information engraved on the metal base of the machine or like a metal identification tag. They were 420 Watts on floor and 625 Watts in tool mode I believe. Most of the next generation had printed white label tags for the model information. 4.3 Amp motors started to emerge. Then higher performance motors came out with 4.8 Amp and 5.0 Amp and I think 5.5 Amp units. The Decade 80 started off as a Convertible and then became known as the Decade 80. The Decade hood as it is referred by has the dual headlight full width wrap around headlight lens. Decade 80s were vinyl bag, plastic base and 6.0 Amp motor, then the Decade 800 had a cloth bag and 6.5 Amp motor. With Decade hoods, 1070 hoods/ the Kmart/ remember machine hoods, 69, 70 style hood, Convertible 700 style hood, Ranger hood there were many!! Welcome aboard the site!! Feel free and we encourage you to post other machines that you have too!! |
