I found these 2 vacuums next to the dumpster at my apartment complex a couple years ago:

1. Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless vac

Removed clog in tube behind brushroll and cleaned both filters. Works like new now.

2. Kirby G3

Brushroll was seized up. Replaced brushroll, bag, and belt. This Kirby is one of my favorites to use to this day. I have since replaced the fan then polished and buffed it out. It now not only works like new but looks great too.

Pretty much 90% of my finds were goodwill discoveries.

Many Hoover convertibles model 65, 33 31 u4123. Many concepts, a conquest, eureka cord aways, lots of Kirby uprights. Royal uprights. Rainbow e series two speed, Montgomery wards machine, filter queens. Etc etc
