Hey guys wanted to let you know about my latest craigslist find, a Kirby G4 the only thing is I have to put it back together, from the motor up... But it's worth it because it is my most wanted childhood memories vac so it holds a special place in my heart :) I am getting it at 6:30 ish tonight and around 9 I'll post pictures of the restoration process. Any Kirby G3 - G5 finds you have a story about? If love to hear em! Thanks! And the pic below is of the machines assembled, the cl pic

Never mind the deal fell through, his buddy scrapped it. I'm literally in tears. I'll find one , someday.

Damn shame. Fortunately, G-series Kirbys are fairly plentiful and often not terribly expensive to acquire. Keep looking; yours is out there!

I've gotten over my loss... Because of this beauty! My Hoover W/T Anniversary Twin Chamber. I got it from the place that I least expected a good vac, Salvation Army. I have only purchased here once before, A coffe table. I was running to the area where the vacs are and I saw a silver vac around a corner just looking down the aisles while running to my destination and I ran down the aisle and discovered this birth. This is on my mega want list so I'm happy. Oh and you can see its older brother my S/P bagged from 06, oh and my new one is from 08/08

I have fond memories of the G3 & G4 as well. Thankfully they are very easy to find. Greatvacs.com sell reconditioned G4s with attachments & warranties though. I have had great experiences from this site in the past, I bought a G5 from them years ago and when I got it, it looked brand new! They are pretty reasonably priced too.
