I have wondered this for some time and decided to just ask. On Hoovers like the model 700 and I believe up to the model 28 they had two screws to hold the bag coupling on. When emptying, did it take a pair of pliers or was this just a thumb tighten connection? Where I worked years ago, we had one and when I emptied the bag, I tightened it with a pair of pliers. Now that I think about it, the owner probably would not want to have to get a pair of pliers out to just empty the bag.

Thanks for any info,

PR-21
Bud

Always tightened them finger right. They are finished for that and pliers would mar the surface
