I have been restoring a 1993 Tristar CXL. Like most of these I have found the plastic Tristar badge was chipped and in 2 pieces, but at least it was complete. I have painted it with Krylon premium metallic original chrome paint, using several light coats. It looks pretty good but even after letting it dry for a couple of days it takes thumbprints where I have carefully pushed it in. Has anybody had experience and success with this?

Awesome idea Sven. I will do that to my Eureka Vibra-Beat. |

I found a cool company here in Cape Town that specializes in chroming plastic, Its almost like that water printing you see U tube,
I am sure if you do a google search you will find a company local to you that does it. They tend to specialize in small items like car trim and badges so they have no problem doing small vacuum badges or Chrome plastic Hoods |
