Headed over to London, it was such a sunny hint-of-Spring sorta day.

Went primaraly to pick up this Sunbeam Turbo Brush. Didn't know such a thing existed and have never seen a picture or advertisement. Noticed it 20 minutes brfore the auction ended and threw in a bid and went to work.

Well, its the same Lady Patti I got the Canadian Tire MASTER vacuum set from.

Horizontal turbine drive the brushroll with a toothed belt. Works great. There's something pure clean design about those plain wheels.

I wonder what the Sunbeam vacuum looks like it goes with?

Brush roll shows little use. Diecast aluminum shell and two setting for the rear wheels - Normal and High.

No other identification on it than the front badge.

Patti is so nice she gave me a free vacuum!

We met in a coffee shop parkinglot. She had just come from picking up some stuff at an old lady's farm and said she just had no more room to store vacuums for ebay selling along with her china and glassware but knew we were meetimng so on the off chance, etc etc, so if I wanted this dirty red thing in the truck it was mine.

Oh Gawd, another vacuum! Pretty tho and complete enough with the cloth filter bag, wands, excellent hose, caster dolly and floor nozzle...and four unopened 4 packs of bags.

The other floor nozzle in the pic I found at Pete N Dave's Micromeet and I didn't know what it was for, other than it does fit a Filter Queen. So I polished it up and displayed it on a shelf.

Damn, now I have to find a blue version Electro Hygiene...

Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed nor had any knowledge of The Electro Hygiene 'swiveltop' tub.

Gave it a quick wipedown with a damp cloth and Voila!!! The inner cloth filter bag is a pale blue in like new condition.

It's a vibrant Oxblood red & light gray with barely a scratch.
Model No. 566, 6 Amps 700 watts! Yikers.
Rubber stamped Inpection date inside on motor cage is March 1974.
Stick-on bottom label says Made by Continental Royal Appliance Ltd. in Scarborough, Ontario Canada.

Metal tub bottom is stamped Royal Appliance Mfg. Co., Cleveland, Ohio.

Registers 75" on the gauge with or without the hose. Impressive.

Will rush over to Doug Smith's site and see if it's there...

Forgot to mention - the blue nozzle is either for a Royal or an Electro hygiene (both are made by the same co)

Nice one.. it's the same basic vac as that blue royal you've seen in my basement.

Aeoliandave, those are wonderful vacuums! They're heavy, but quite maneuverable on their wheels, very quiet and powerful! I've seen them under the names Electro Hygiene, Royal, Sani-way and Kingston. I remember a Kingston in a tannish brown, and a blue Royal.

I love that Turbine Brush, and the Electro-Hygene is too good to be true. What a nice lady you are dealing with too.

Love the Electro-Hygene/Royal canister.

And doesn't that Sunbeam Turbo Brush look like a Kirby? loving it.

Great Machines, Dave!

And the red EH cannister is one I've never seen before, only in blue. And for some unknown reason, when I sold Electro-Hygiene, we didn't handle the cannisters at our office--only the 903 upright and 966 tank.
