Hey Everyone!

I'm finally getting around to being able to conduct some routine maintenance on some of my vacuums in my collection. My Kirby G4 is in very good shape and does a fine job at cleaning, but when the vacuum is in neutral it makes a clicking noise whenever I move it forward or backwards. I'm hoping it's a simple fix. Any input or tips on how to rectify it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Michael

This problem has been addressed many times before on this forum.
Search the archives for Kirby transmission clicking in neutral for your answer.

Bracket cam assembly

Your bracket cam assembly--the part that engages and disengages the Tech Drive--is either worn or out of adjustment or both. The URL below will take you to an illustrated step-by-step procedure to fix it.
