On my G4, when I am pushing the cleaner with the tech-drive in neutral, and the power off, I hear a noise coming from the transmission area, like gears are turning.. is this normal? Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't..usually whenever I turn to go around a corner is when it starts the noise. Any ideas?

It seemed to work fine, though...I've sold it now, so I'm not too worried! |

Hi. No its not normal. The gear/lever the flicks it in to drive is not coming out fully so it catches the gears in side when its suppose to be out of gear, The tech-drive just needs cleaning out and a bit of lube put on it so it can slip all the way out again. That's normally the most common problem. Hope you get it sorted. jb |

What James is referring to is a small "finger-like" lever that wears and needs to be replaced. This usually takes care of the problem. |
