Miele did that? Shamefull. US made Panasonic uprights then had steel handles and base plates. |

I haven't seen those in almost a decade.
I didn't know Miele still made them. I remember them from back when I worked at a vacuum store. I thought they were replaced by the S7 uprights- which are pretty good machines! The guy I worked for didn't carry the Panasonic Mieles, he sold Simplicity uprights and Miele canisters. |

Miele never actually made them. The US dealers were demanding an upright, so Panasonic badged their European uprights as Miele purely for the US market, pre-S7.
I honestly don't think these will be in production anymore. Panasonic Europe don't make vacuums anymore for one thing and secondly, those Panasonic's must have been out of production for a good 8-10 years now. They were superceded by newer models before being phased out completely. |
